BreadTracker ("we," "us," "our") is a personal budgeting application owned and operated by Cactus Equity Group, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your data.

BreadTracker is designed for use within the United States only. By using BreadTracker, you confirm that you are located in the United States.

We built BreadTracker to help people take control of their finances. We take that responsibility seriously, and that extends to how we handle your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with marketers or advertisers. We never will.

Information from Third-Party Services

Plaid (Bank Account Connections)

If you choose to connect a bank or credit card account, we use Plaid to facilitate that connection. When you connect an account through Plaid:

Stripe (Payment Processing)

When you purchase lifetime access, payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI Level 1-certified payment processor (the highest industry standard). Important facts about how this works:

When you use BreadTracker, we automatically collect limited technical information for security purposes only:

We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or any form of behavioral tracking. BreadTracker uses only essential session cookies required for authentication.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the BreadTracker service:

What we will never do with your data: We will never sell it. We will never rent it. We will never share it with advertisers. We will never use it to build profiles for third parties. Your budget data exists for one purpose — to help you manage your money.

3. How We Protect Your Information

We implement multiple layers of security to protect your data, following industry best practices for financial applications.

When you delete your account or reset your data, we permanently remove your budget data, expense templates, income sources, credit card information, settings, and Plaid connections. This deletion is irreversible.

8. Children's Privacy

BreadTracker is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.

9. United States Only

BreadTracker is designed for and available to users in the United States only. The service is hosted in the United States and is subject to U.S. law. We do not offer the service outside of the United States and make no representation that it complies with the laws of any other jurisdiction.

10. Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. BreadTracker does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for any purpose. Because we do not engage in any sale of personal data, there is no opt-out mechanism required.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (using the address associated with your account) and/or by posting a prominent notice within the application at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

BreadTracker is a budgeting tool designed to help you organize and visualize your personal finances. BreadTracker is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, or legal advisor.

The information, calculations, projections, and recommendations provided within the application (including but not limited to savings recommendations, minimum salary estimates, tax estimates, and emergency fund guidance) are for informational and educational purposes only. They should not be construed as personalized financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional counsel.

All tax calculations are estimates based on publicly available federal and state tax brackets and standard deduction amounts. They do not account for your full tax situation, including but not limited to: itemized deductions, tax credits, alternative minimum tax, self-employment tax, capital gains, or other factors that may affect your actual tax liability. You should consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
